"I didn't need more information. I needed someone who could hold a mirror steady while I rethought everything." — VP Operations, national logistics firm, after 14 months of coaching
This is where most engagements begin: not with ambition, but with a quiet recognition that something needs to shift. Welcome to a practice built around that shift.

The Executive Coaching timeline: how transformation actually unfolds

Week 0 — The threshold

Something isn't working anymore

Most leaders arrive here after a promotion, a conflict, a strategic pivot that exposed gaps they hadn't noticed. The old playbook — decisiveness, speed, control — stops producing the results it once did.

This is not failure. It is the exact signal that a deeper operating system is ready to emerge. Our first conversation explores what brought you here and whether coaching is the right container for what you need.

"I called because my board chair suggested it. Within ten minutes I realized I'd been waiting years for this conversation." — Chief Revenue Officer, SaaS scale-up
Weeks 1–3 — Diagnostic immersion

Mapping the landscape beneath the surface

We use a proprietary diagnostic framework — not a personality quiz, but a structured inquiry into your decision patterns, relational dynamics, energy allocation, and the narratives you carry about leadership.

Stakeholder conversations (with your permission) add a 360-degree texture that no self-assessment can match. The goal is not to judge but to see clearly. You receive a written diagnostic summary that becomes the foundation for everything that follows.

Months 1–3 — Disruption

Challenging the patterns that got you here

Bi-weekly sessions — 75 minutes each, never shorter — create a rhythm of reflection and experimentation. We work at the intersection of strategy and identity: the decisions you avoid, the conversations you over-rehearse, the assumptions you've never questioned.

Between sessions, you carry micro-experiments into real situations. A different way to open a board meeting. A deliberate pause before responding to provocation. Small shifts that reveal large patterns.

"The experiments felt absurdly simple. The results were anything but." — Managing Director, infrastructure consulting
Months 4–7 — Integration

Building a new leadership architecture

By now, the initial discomfort has given way to something more interesting: a growing capacity to hold complexity without collapsing into reactivity. Sessions shift from excavation to construction.

We design your personal leadership operating model — a set of principles, practices, and boundaries that reflect who you are becoming, not who you were. This is where coaching moves from insight to embodiment.

Months 8–12 — Consolidation

Leading from the new ground

Sessions become monthly. The focus shifts to sustainability: how do you maintain this new way of operating when pressure returns? How do you teach it to your team? How do you recognize the early signals of regression?

We close with a reflective review — a written narrative of where you started, what shifted, and what remains as ongoing practice. Many leaders describe this document as more valuable than any MBA case study they've read.

"Twelve months ago I was considering leaving my role. Today I'm leading the most ambitious transformation in the company's history — and I'm calm." — CEO, mid-market manufacturing

Why a timeline matters more than a program

Executive coaching is not a course with modules. It is a relationship with rhythm. The timeline above is typical, but every engagement is shaped by the leader's context, pace, and readiness. Some leaders need six months. Others return for a second year focused on a specific challenge — a merger, a succession, a cultural reset.

What remains constant is the commitment to depth over speed. Surface-level coaching produces surface-level change. We go further.

Every session takes place in a setting designed for candour — whether in person at our Québec City practice or via a secure video link anywhere in Canada.

Unhurried depth

Sessions are never less than 75 minutes. Breakthroughs don't happen in the first twenty minutes — they happen when the polished answers run out and something more honest emerges. We protect the time required for that to occur.

Radical candour

A coach who only affirms is a mirror that flatters. We practice a form of candour that is direct, compassionate, and grounded in evidence. You will hear things that others in your organization are unwilling to say.

Systemic thinking

We never coach the leader in isolation. Every challenge you bring is examined through the lens of the system you operate within — the team, the culture, the market, the board. Sustainable change requires understanding the whole field, not just the player.

Reflective journaling as part of the executive coaching process

The reflective practice between sessions

Coaching doesn't happen only in the room. Between sessions, you'll maintain a structured reflection journal — not a diary, but a disciplined record of decisions, reactions, and the moments where old patterns resurface. This practice sharpens self-awareness faster than any assessment tool and gives our sessions a running thread of real data to work with.

Many leaders continue the journal long after coaching ends. It becomes a personal leadership archive — a record of how they evolved and a reference point when new challenges arise.

Frequently asked questions

How is executive coaching different from consulting or therapy?

Consulting delivers answers. Therapy heals wounds. Coaching develops the leader's capacity to navigate complexity with greater awareness, resilience, and strategic clarity. We don't tell you what to do — we help you see what you already know but haven't yet accessed.

What does a typical engagement cost?

Engagements are priced on a retainer basis reflecting the scope and duration of the work. A twelve-month engagement for a senior executive typically falls in the range of $18,000 to $35,000 CAD. We discuss investment openly in the initial conversation — there are no hidden fees.

Can coaching happen remotely?

Absolutely. More than half of our current clients work with us entirely via secure video. The quality of the relationship — not the geography — determines the quality of the coaching. That said, in-person sessions are available at our Québec City practice for those who prefer them.

Is everything we discuss confidential?

Without exception. What you share in coaching stays in coaching. If your organization is sponsoring the engagement, we agree on reporting boundaries upfront — typically limited to themes and progress indicators, never specifics. Trust is the foundation of this work.
